During the initial period of isolation I had the opportunity to re-evaluate what is important to me, and what I really needed to survive - investigating the notion of what is ‘essential’. The process of recently moving house, allowed me to reflect upon notions of connectedness, in particular with objects and places, and the memories that these possessions hold for me. Spending more time within the confines of my home made me question what a ‘home’ really is, and how the value of physical objects affect my perceptions of self and broader relationships. The work is simplistic in style, with the imagery offering a glimpse into my daily familiarity; daily perspectives of a life lived within the same home for the past 20 years.
